Being a DevOps Engineer at SmartLockr

The data security landscape is constantly shifting. Hackers are always seeking new vulnerabilities in systems and solution have therefore become more technical and complex. This has adversely affected the users experience. This is why our goal has, and always will be, to find the perfect balance between providing a solid security solution combined with a great user experience. As our new DevOps Engineer you are a key member of the Product Success team, in overseeing our code releases.

Daily Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Azure Resource Management
  • Document automation processes;
  • Provide systems support including responding to monitoring alerts;
  • Create, document and execute disaster recovery plan;
  • Identify and correct any single points of failure;
  • Set up and monitor Security protocols;
  • Work with our development team and stakeholders to create a plan for monitoring Azure resources;
  • Work closely with our stakeholders to capture, analyze, and derive DevOps requirements.



  • Multiple years of experience in software engineering;
  • Strong Experience with Azure and Azure DevOps;
  • Experience in CI/CD, with strong focus on building pipelines (specifically in YAML);
  • Security mindset, with experience in DevSecOps;
  • Knowledge of at least one scripting language (such as PowerShell/Bash);
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Knowledge of software networking;
  • Great troubleshooting and problem solving skills;
